Barnet Deanery Mass at St James'

On Wednesday 6 November, St James’ Catholic School hosted the Barnet Deanery Mass celebrating the academic Year 2019-20. The Mass was celebrated by the Right Reverend Bishop John Sherrington, supported by Fr Brian Griffiths and Fr Ray Armstrong.

This was a truly joyful celebration in our new St James Hall. Some of our students led the beautiful singing, others in the school band shared their musical talents on a variety of instruments all adding to the great sense of community and harmony in our deanery. We had a team of Year 8 and 11 altar servers who supported the Bishop throughout the Mass and also in a procession to bless our new school building. It was lovely to see so many visitors from local parishes, religious orders and schools, as well as members of the St James’ community, past and present.
