In Years 7, 8 and 9 pupils study a full range of national curriculum subjects. This is a time for Year 9 students to make their GCSE option choices. This enables them to focus more substantially on both the core curriculum and their curriculum areas of interest. When selecting options for GCSE courses, it is important to ensure they cover a wide curriculum, to ensure a pupil’s opportunities are open for further study and future careers.
