90th Celebration Day
To celebrate a significant milestone this year of our school being open for 90 years, we put together a celebration day for our pupils to enjoy.
The 90th Anniversary Celebration Day is designed to encapsulate the diversity of the school and the Catholic principles that the school was founded on in 1934 by the Dominican Sisters. The day is to inform students of this history, to reflect on what it means to be a St James’ student and to partake in activities that support their personal development.
A special assembly on the morning of Monday 15 July, was given as a thanks for the many blessings our school has received. We also heard from a member of staff who has been a part of our school community for over forty years. The day consisted of music, performances, and fun activities for all to enjoy. Many of the activities had a focus on celebrating the rich diversity of our school.
The day was not only educational but also a joyful experience that strengthened our sense of community and shared history.
Thank you to all staff who supported the logistics of the day.
