Celebrating Diversity across St James'

As part of our ongoing initiative to celebrate  and share diversity in our school, Mr Sellek has approached students and staff so that they could identify a role model from their country of origin/roots and explain why they chose that person.

We went on to present and display each role model with their citation and national flag.

The display of more than 60 individuals has gone up in foyers around the school where they can be seen by all students and colleagues. They compliment the Celebrating Black Achievement work put in place throughout October. The display is laid out in a  brickwork style to show that Divertisty really is part of the fabric of our school.

We continue to work with Student Voice to encourage more students to be part of the celebrations so that the work is evolving throughout the year.
